"Unspeakable" is!
Now, before I begin, I should point out that I watched only the first ten minutes of this film, but as far as I'm concerned, ten minutes was enough.
In that first reel, we were treated to a. The obligatory good-looking Professional Female (without an ounce of personal warmth), who invents a "brilliant" new technology. b. The obligatory scenario where the good-looking female is scorned and belittled by the... c. ...narrow-minded, pig-headed, stupid, beauracratic White Male... d. ...while she defends the heart-of-gold Mexican, who is wrongfully accused of a crime, yet who manfully accepts his fate. Apparently, the Woman tests the Mex with her technology and finds that he is innocent of the crime for which he is to be executed. The rest of the film, I presume, would have been taken up with endless conflicts between the Woman and the White Male, as she tries to have the Mex released, while proving once again that all Mexicans, (coons, Asiatics), are noble and misunderstood, and that all White Males are intractable fools. God, it's getting tiresome! |
