France tax protests often feature anti-Semitic rhetoric

December 12, 2018

Protests in France over taxes are giving rise to anti-Semitic rhetoric, a prominent watchdog group said.

The head of the National Bureau for Vigilance Against Antisemitism, or BNVCA, Sammy Ghozlan, said Wednesday that “the ‘Yellow Jackets’ movement has an anti-Semitic base that repeats conspiracy theories about Jews and power.”

Launched last month as a protest against a proposed rise in diesel and fuel taxes, the movement has expanded into an anti-government drive featuring violent riots that have shut down the French capital several times. Some protesters have been filmed carrying signs and chanting slogans describing French President Emmanuel Macron as a “whore of the Jews” and their “puppet.”

Such language “was present from the very beginning of the protests and persists,” Ghozlan said, although he added that it exists “on the margins” of the protests. France has seen a 69 percent increase in anti-Semitic incidents in 2018 over the past year.

Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, said these developments will likely result in an increase in immigration by French Jews to Israel, or aliyah, which his group promotes in France and other countries.

In the first 10 months of 2018, more than 2,300 French Jews have made aliyah, while the number of those seeking information about aliyah from the foundation has increased by 30 percent in recent weeks, the foundation said in a statement. The foundation said it is beefing up its France operations.

Parisian bankers and recruiters complain of "French-bashing" over gilets jaunes

Will the 'gilets jaunes' (rioters in yellow high-vis jackets) dissuade banks from moving staff from London to Paris? A London trader writing here last week argued that they will. London finance professionals were "horrified" by the riots, he said: "Brexit has shaken the stability of London, but Paris has made itself seem worse by appearing to be a war zone." They might also be horrified by President Macron's capitulation to the rioters, which seems likely to result in higher taxes in the long term - although anecdotally higher wealth taxes are the biggest concern.

For the moment, however, French bankers say nothing is likely to change and that the situation in France is being exaggerated in London.

Gilets Jaunes: 10 Solutions

December 13, 2018

Alison Chabloz

As explained by Hervé Ryssen in a recent YouTube video, the Gilets Jaunes movement is essentially anarchistic, initiated by provincial conservative French patriots who simply want their country back. There is no official organisation structure. Following decades of political failure as seen all over the west, decent, ordinary French citizens have taken to the streets to express their outrage at the System.

Ryssen, in similar vein to Alain Soral’s recent analysis (translation with voiceover here), condemns attempts by the Left to hijack the Gilets Jaunes movement. This hijacking by the Left can clearly be seen as an attempt to retain power on behalf of Globalism, mass immigration and further disintegration of national identity. When will Leftist trade unionists and politicians start to admit that mass immigration is the primary reason for the constant decrease in salaries, lack of affordable housing, jobs and strained social services?

TV and social media footage from Paris last Saturday also clearly shows deliberate provocation and violence courtesy of Antifa. Will next Saturday’s planned demo be allowed to go ahead? Unlikely, according to leader of National Rally, Marine Le Pen. Yesterday, Le Pen cited the recent Islamist terrorist shooting in Strasbourg and ensuing State of Emergency declared by the French government, which could see a ban on all public protests for the foreseeable future.

Nevertheless, it’s doubtful that the patriotic and peaceful Gilets Jaunes at the heart of this struggle will be deterred. Representing the antithesis of May ’68, they have already shown that they no longer hold one iota of respect for authority, for Macronism or for the ranks of Leftist Globalist patsies. National Zionists in the kosher mould of Le Pen are as unlikely to be able to persuade people to stay at home next Saturday as are current French leaders and forces of order – many of whom having already laid down their batons and tear-gas canisters in support of les Gilets Jaunes.

Now is the moment for a real, patriotic nationalist uprising. Here are ten solutions proposed by Parti Nationalist Français:

1. Reestablish French sovereignty and exit the European Union.

2. Dismantle the ENA (National Administrative School), School of Magistrates, School of Journalism, all affiliated with anti-French interests.

3. State reform leading to proper management of sovereign duties: security, armed forces, justice, independence.

4. Reconstruction of public services in French territories.

5. Suppression of subsidies currently allocated to regional and community integration.

6. Electoral reform in order to put in place a system of organic democracy.

7. Provide a salary for mothers and prioritise family-based politics, with full property inheritance rights for parents.

8. Prioritise the rights of French people to social security and state benefits.

9. Reestablish public order and French law throughout the territory.

10. Prevent flood migration threatening the nation’s identity and bring about a process of repatriation.

European patriots will see the above policy proposals as common sense measures needing be implemented as soon as possible in order to combat the Globalist agenda of weaponised mass immigration.

In France the “yellow jackets” promise to get back to the Streets

The fifth wave of protests held on December 15

It is noted that a week after the announcement of the concessions made by the President of France Emmanuel Makron, the “yellow jackets” has decided to declare for the fifth wave of protests.

“This is the moment when we must not give up… We must continue. Ad Rules are not enough,” said one of the initiators of the movement “yellow jackets” Eric Drouet.

After four Saturdays, three of which scored impressive violence, the protesters separated from more radical groups and said that “now is the time for dialogue.”

We will remind, after two weeks of protests in France, which degenerated into large-scale clashes with police, President of Emmanuel macron have announced state of emergency in the country and made concessions to the demonstrators. According to financiers, the promise of Macron will cost the budget of 8-10 billion dollars.

A group of demonstrators across the country criticized the speech of the Makron, describing her as “bluff and window-dressing for the media.” The protesters intend to resume the action.

An anti-government rally began in Paris on 17 November after the government’s decision to increase the tax on diesel fuel and gasoline. Then shares came more than 80 thousand people, and a protest movement called “yellow jackets” (the demonstrators were dressed in fluorescent jackets, which motorists Zobov will carry in cars).

In General throughout France to protest left more than 125 thousand people. For stock, 5 people were killed, 1407 protesters were injured, more than 4.5 protesters were arrested.

In Paris before the protests of “yellow jackets” on Saturday, December 15, police started arresting TV channel BFMTV.

It is reported that protesters started to gather near the arc de Triomphe. Several hundred protesters are marching to the Champs-Elysees, heading to the city center, and singing the Marseillaise.

As of 14:00, the police arrested about a hundred protesters. According to France Info, the active confrontation of demonstrators and police began near the Champs elysées. Police used tear gas against protesters.

Police today blocked access to all government buildings. Security forces deployed at railway stations and bus stations. Law enforcement officers also said that they arrested 25 protesters.

As the protesters began to block the main highways of the country, this morning reported a significant complications movement.

17 arrested for setting toll station on fire in southern France

PARIS, Dec. 18 -- A total of 17 individuals were detained overnight on suspicion of setting a toll station on fire in southern France as "yellow vest" protesters continue blocking motorways to oppose French government's economic and fiscal reforms, state-run France Info radio reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, the 17 individuals were put in police custody on charges of torching barriers of Bandol toll in Var late on Monday night. Demonstrators have occupied the station when they started their movement and blocked motorways a month ago to express their anger over higher living costs.

Following the fire, the A50 motorway was closed for an indefinite period, it added.

Since Nov. 17, people wearing yellow vests, the high-visibility jackets all motorists in France carry in their cars, and which later symbolizes the social uprising, have sought to disrupt traffic on highways and roundabouts, as well as taking to the streets in French cities over the weekends.

Vinci Autoroutes, which operates most of the motorways in the south of France, estimated that the blockades and damages to facilities would cost the company "tens of millions of euros".

In a press release issued on Sunday, the company noted that more than 250 sites were impacted daily by protesters' actions, causing "considerable damage to equipment and infrastructure."

Blue vests feeling yellow: ‘Exhausted & overworked’ French police unions ready for action

With anti-government Yellow Vest protests still roiling France, it now seems that some fed-up French police unions are ready to get in on the action, complaining of low pay, unpaid overtime and unacceptable working conditions.

Speaking to RT on Wednesday, French police union representative Loic Travers said that when some officers are not in uniform “they become Yellow Vests” because they identify with the protesters’ cause.

“We are middle class, or even lower, because of our salaries, our origin. That’s why some colleagues feel that they are Yellow Vests. The cause of the Yellow Vests really resonate with the police,” Travers said.

French town opens probe after Yellow Vests BEHEAD Macron effigy & put ‘head’ on stake (PHOTOS)

Authorities in a south-western French town are furious after Yellow Vest protesters beheaded an effigy of Emmanuel Macron with an ax, put its “head” on a stake and danced. Now the mock executioners face a very real criminal case.

Around 90 protesters dressed in yellow vests – the symbol of the recent wave of anti-government protests in France – gathered in a park in the town of Angouleme to stage the mock beheading on Friday evening. It’s not clear if the day was chosen deliberately, but on December 21 French President Macron celebrated his 41st birthday.

Riot Control: French govt to buy more non-lethal weapons despite serious injuries

The French Interior Ministry is planning to boost its riot control arsenal purchasing more weapons that fire rubber bullets. That's despite a number of serious injuries among the yellow vest protesters caused by the non-lethal ammunition, and numerous warnings from human rights groups over their use.

Christophe Dettinger: Boxer surrenders after clash with riot police in Paris

The former heavyweight gave himself up to police and was immediately detained, the French interior minister tweeted.

He was accompanied by his lawyer, and a search was conducted at his home, reports say.

How did the boxer explain his actions?

The former boxer now works as public servant at a town hall south of Paris, reports say.

A clip of him punching the officer, on the Léopold-Sédar-Senghor bridge which links the Tuileries gardens to the Musée d'Orsay, has been viewed millions of times.

In a video statement recorded before he handed himself in, Mr Dettinger says he saw police tear-gassing and "hurting" people with flash-ball (rubber bullet) rounds in Paris on Saturday.

He became angry after he, his wife and a friend were tear-gassed and he was, he says, defending himself.

France: 'Yellow vest' protesters storm ministry in Paris

Protests involving 50,000 turn violent in French cities as demonstrators smash into ministry with a forklift in Paris.

Benjamin Griveaux - a government spokesman evacuated from his ministry in central Paris on Saturday when a handful of protesters in high-visibility vests smashed down the large wooden door to the ministry compound - denounced the break-in as an "unacceptable attack on the Republic".

"Some yellow vest protesters and other people dressed in black ... got hold of a construction vehicle which was in the street nearby and smashed open the entrance gate to the ministry," he told the AFP news agency.

France to toughen up on undeclared protests in response to yellow-vests

08/01/2019

French Prime Minister Edouard Phillipe has announced plans to introduce legislation that would crack down on undeclared protests, in response to the Gilets Jaunes 'Yellow Vests' demonstrations.

Now in its seventh weekend of protests, demonstrators set barricades on fire, threw missiles at riot police, and torched motorbikes in Paris on Saturday.

Phillipe told TF1 television on Monday: “We need to preserve the right to demonstrate in France and we must sanction those who break the law.”

Adding, “That’s why the government favors updating the law in order to sanction those who do not respect this obligation to declare protests, those who take part in undeclared protests, those who arrive at protests with balaclavas”

The new law could be modeled on existing legislation which bans football hooligans from stadiums.

The PM said the measures could begin as soon as February and said the "thugs" would have to pay for the damages they cause.

The Yellow Vest movement was sparked by unrest over a fuel-tax hike but has since grown into a general discontent with President Emmanuel Macron's leadership, which has been criticized for favouring the elite.

Benjamin Griveaux angry: his confidences about the attacks on his wife Julia Minkowski "It's the anti-Semitism I wanted to denounce"

Guest of the show C to you on Monday, January 7, Benjamin Griveaux returned to the attacks on the family of his wife, Julia Minkowski, was the target.

Last Saturday, Act 8 of the movement of the yellow vests did a little more raise the tension. The most spectacular episode has also seen the direct involvement of a member of the government. Benjamin Griveaux had indeed been evacuated from his ministry in Paris after the violent intrusion of individuals in the courtyard of the building where he worked. Although he has always remained very discreet about his private life, the politician answered questions from Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine on the set of France 5 and could not avoid evoking his companion. The facilitator recalled that the family of Julia Minkowski, wife of the government spokesperson, had also been targeted.

"I'll leave my wife behind for a simple reason. She is not engaged in the political sphere. She is a lawyer, she has convictions, "said the MP in the fifth district of Paris about the one with whom he expects a third child. "She was attacked about the Jewish origins of her family and so it was the anti-Semitism that I wanted to denounce. There is a deafening silence of the great consciences of the left and the right. We did not hear many of them speak out, "explained Benjamin Griveaux, who reported on his comments on France Inter that morning.

French Prime Minister says masks will be banned at protests amid 'yellow vest' movement

Troublemakers will also be forced to pay for property damage occurring during demonstrations, instead of taxpayers.

France is planning to jail protesters who wear masks in the wake of weeks of violent demonstrations by the "yellow vest" movement.

Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said proposed legislation would target people who try to hide their identities while taking to the streets.

“We have to preserve the freedom to protest in France and punish those who want to violate this right,” Philippe said in an interview with broadcaster TF1 on Monday night.

Masks have been confiscated by police officers at some "yellow vest" protests. The legislation would allow perpetrators to be sent to jail. At the moment, the offense is considered more minor and is punished with a fine.

French police should be allowed to use LIVE bullets on Yellow Vest protesters, ex-minister says

The ex-minister said: “We have the fourth largest army in the world, and it is able to put an end to this crap."

Luc Ferry, a 68-year-old conservative, justified his stance by highlighting the growing law and order crisis facing the country.

Speaking to Classic Radio, Mr Ferry added: “We have the fourth largest army in the world, and it is able to put an end to this crap.

“These kind of thugs, this kind of crap from the extreme Right, the extreme Left and from the housing estates that come to hit the police, that’s enough.”
