Default How do you drink coffee?

I drink espresso with homogenized milk and creme from fresh-milked milk floating on top. Homogenized milk blends with coffee better

Filter/percolated coffee, no sugar, XXX strong with a powdered creamer stuff called Coffeemate which appears to be largely vegetable oil. Not that I drink it very often - perhaps once or twice a week. A cup of tea is more my cup of tea.

2 teaspoons of instant coffee to a cup of hot water, black. And I rarely have it, maybe 3 or 4 times a year.

Strange poll, it leaves out what I'm fairly certain is the most common way to drink coffee: Drip maker; coffee, strong and black, no sweetener, no creamer...just black.

Three cups, every morning.

When I'm somewhere I can get it: Double espresso, no sweetener, no creamer; just black. I toss the little sugar cubes.

I use super mega-strength industrial coffee at twice the recommended dose attached to an intravenous drip,twenty-four hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five days a year.On top of that I like to drink about a dozen cups of coffee a day. When the spoon I use to stir it with starts to dissolve I know it's strong enough.

Medium strength, from a drip coffee maker, about 2-3 table spoons of International Delight Hazelnut creamer.

One shot espresso with one ounce steamed non fat milk, or fresh roasted and ground drip.

It's not coffee if you put anything in it, says me.

The only black thing I like is black coffee. Nothing tastes better.

Yea, good advice.
I am an on again/off again coffee drinker. Trying to ween myself off of it. Any advice Geoff?

Sometimes I feel like coffee. Other times it makes me queasy.

Probably should just so to sleep earlier and get off the net then I wouldn't feel the urge for coffee in the morning to clear the cobwebs.

Lifelong coffee drinker here and I will pitch my two cents out there.

I have consumed as much as two or three pots a day. I have stopped cold turkey for various reasons. First day was lethargy and headache but not bad enough to go looking for coffee. You just tough it out. The next day, you feel GREAT. That is my experience.

Nowadays, I drink one or two 20 oz. cups in the morning and drink the leftovers cold when I get home from work. No coffee after about 7PM. It affects my sleep anymore. Part of the price of nearing 40, I guess.

I do keep green and black tea around. Don't drink them regularly but they are good.

I boil the water in a Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave. Then I pour it through ancient aluminum dripolater baskets, coffee is in the bottom one, in a paper filter. It drips into a glass type coffee pot, also ancient, on the burner. Keep the burner on low while it drips. I make two cups at a time, and pour them both into mugs. One I drink right away, and the other I put a heavy saucer or bowl over it and a towel. Keeps it hot. I don't like to leave the burner on after I go in the other room.

I used to buy whatever main brand was on sale, but now I can't find any good coffee. Sometimes the first part of the can is okay, but the bottom half has a sick taste. I can't drink it. This never used to happen. The last bag of Starbucks I bought was rotten. Horrible.
Normally I wouldn't buy Starbucks because it's JEWISH.

I have a steel percolater from Vermont County Store (that was way overpriced) , and it made good coffee but it was too much messing around for me. The grounds made a mess. I've been thinking of getting it out again, but then I try a new can of coffee that is "okay" for a while with my drip set up. I used to have a Mr. Coffee but I thought it was terrible.

Derrick; coffee is as hard a habit to break as nicotine. It has a definite effect on your body. It raises your blood pressure and stimulates stomach acids.

It may indeed wake a person up in the morning but the trade off is getting a thousand mg of caffeine which is just as bad for your heart as smoking. That's why you feel queasy. The strong herbal tea (black or green) will also help you manage your weight and it has a soothing effect.

Black coffee (french roast), Winston kings, and little chocolate doughnuts.
Breakfast of champions!

I drink espresso without any cream/milk/sugar or anything else added.

For coffee, I use a drip machine to brew and I also drink it black. Once in a while, I use a French press pot as coffee tastes a little different - it's richer with more oils in it.

I've been roasting my own coffee for the past 11 years. I used to work in a machine shop and just after Christmas, a co worker brought me some green Colombian coffee beans that he had brought back from Colombia. After trying several other (and not so successful) methods of roasting the beans, I tried using a hot air corn popper. The coffee was roasted to perfection.

Since that time, home roasting has become quite popular and now I own a 'real' coffee roaster and it's great.

I buy 20 pound bags of top-quality coffee/espresso for a little over 100 dollars and roast (and drink) about 2 pounds a week.
