Talking Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata

La bella luna is full tonight as she ascends the night sky over the water in the SE ...sure brings out the nuts here in NY.

The third movement "presto agitato" is the perfect accompaniment to my fucking lunatic ex-girlfriend as she drives in loops on Ocean parkway with her cat dialing me for dollars because her present boyfriend left her with low/no funds when he left for Rio with his friends ...dontcha just love how Karma works its way into your life unannounced bearing the gift of the night's entertainment?

Cheers!

Wink Carpet crawlers

Ah, the late 1970's ...Genesis on tour featuring Phil Collins with hair (singing in the spotlight with Mike Rutherford) and master percussionist Bill Bruford on drums ...am I showing my age?

Collins looks like he's having an onstage religious experience toward the end of the video

Cheers!

Smile Sinfonia from Cantata No. 29 J S Bach

Gert van Hoef started playing the organ at fourteen I believe ...this is an awesome interpretation of this masterpiece by J S Bach.

Worth a listen, as are most of young van Hoef's recordings.

Cheers!

Smile Johann Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565 ...again

Gert van Hoef on the 1806 Knol organ at St Stephanus church Hasselt, NL ...who said that the spirit of Bach died with the advent of 'rap' music in the West?

Nice interpretation of a Bach masterpiece on a complex musical instrument by a 16 year old (at the time)

PS. now you know what 'pulling out all the stops' means ...
