Makes me think back to when I was 15 watching the prototype Space Shuttle Enterprise making its first approach and landing test 40 years ago and in the same location, Dryden (now Armstrong) Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB, California. The shuttle was piloted by Apollo 13's Fred Haise with co-pilot Gordon Fullerton.
P.S.--I was one of the many people who wrote to President Ford asking him to rename the first shuttle Enterprise after Star Trek's ship. The shuttle was originally going to be named Constitution.
