Considering not only Herr Priebke's age, but also the trials (no pun intended) and tribulations he's gone through for "crimes" he did not commit, granting him freedom would be the least that could be done for him. Even better, free him and give him a cash award amounting to any pension rights he might have due to him for his service to the Third Reich!
