The most interesting bit was the audience reaction. They were presumably all White, and they were applauding him, too. (But I wonder if they would have been applauding if he was White?)
Imagine if that were happening today! The responses of the host would be the same, but that audience would be booing their little pinheads off - champion boxer or not. "I think it's sad that, that..." 'It ain't sad that I want my child to look like me! Every intelligent person wants his child to look like him! I'm sad because I don't want to blot out my beautiful race and lose my identity?... You a hater of your people if you don't want to stay who you are!' Not too bad, minus the bad grammar. I don't support the NoI, because I'm not black, but they have the right idea. On some things, anyway. |
