Florida man bitten on tongue by rattlesnake after trying to kiss venomous reptile
All he wanted was a kissss.
A Florida man trying to grab a quick smooch with a poisonous rattlesnake had to be rushed to the hospital after the reptile bit him on the tongue. Charles Goff of Putnam County told Action News Jax that he found the snake and put it in a tank outside his home. Goff, who knows how to handle the venomous creatures, said he awoke the next morning to find his neighbor Ron Reinold playing with the snake. Goff told the outlet that Reinold tried to kiss the snake and that's when he was bitten. "Ron was just acting silly, you know?" Goff said. "I guess he said he could kiss the devil and get away with it, but evidently he didn't." In a 911 call, a female is heard frantically telling the dispatcher that Reinold was bleeding from the mouth. "I'm getting scared," she said. The married father was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. In a statement Wednesday, his family told Action News Jax that he was doing a lot better and expected to survive. "He was put in a coma & was not supposed to wake up for days," it read. "He woke up & is signing with his hands." read full article at source: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.3176570 |
