Default Need a job? NASA looking for partners to install nuclear fission reactors on the Moon

Need a job? NASA looking for partners to install nuclear fission reactors on the Moon

Nov 17, 2020

As mankind moves off-Earth and begins to establish a permanent presence on the Moon and Mars, all those habitats, warehouses, fuel production devices, vehicles, equipment, and research facilities are going to need plenty of juice.

In a partnership between the U.S. Department of Energy and NASA, a new program to aid in that infrastructure development is being implemented that will first create a system of small nuclear reactors built by private contractors. Proposals for this energizing project are currently being accepted from energy engineering firms, in order to get these pint-sized nuclear fission units deployed on the Moon by 2026.

Default Project Horizon

There could have been something like this decades ago, if the funding and political will were there, just like a manned expedition to Mars in the 1980s and eventual colonies there by today, in 2020. As early as 1959 the u.s. army was studying Project Horizon, a manned Moon base powered by nuclear reactors. https://armyhistory.org/soldiers-moo...lunar-outpost/ Project Horizon was basically a Cold War project to upstage the USSR just like the Apollo program was. But the plans and ideas were impressive and the basic technology already existed in the 1960s. NASA also commissioned studies on building a rudimentary lunar base using Apollo components, such as a lunar Module "taxi" to ferry astronauts to the lunar surface, LM Shelter and a power station LM powered by radioisotope thermoelectric generators, or RTGs, which were used in the actual Apollo landings and also on deep-space probes such as Voyager. But no, thanks to the Vietnam War and endless jew-created non-White immigration and breeding programs back in the 60s, I am going to miss all this in my lifetime. Private companies like SpaceX are now working on extended lunar and Mars exploration/colonization, so maybe I might see some of it come true.

I guess the idea of planning ahead is alien to you.

In that case they should plan a way to get to the moon first, since they have to hitch a ride just to get to the ISS.

NASA has contracts with SpaceX and others private companies to transport crews to and from the ISS and to develop lunar landers. NASA has long utilized private contractors to accomplish various tasks.

Oh, and by the way, in case you hadn't noticed, the Wright Brothers have also invented something called an airplane that allows humans to fly though the air like birds.

Default Bulova Lunar Pilot

Not interested in space even if there is a remote possibility that man actually set foot on the moon. However, I just ordered a special edition Bulova Lunar Pilot “moon watch.”

You all can look up the history of this watch if you care.

It gets demoralizing that even some VNN members don't believe or care that men walked on the Moon, one of the greatest White achievements in history. The kikes have managed to plant the Moon landing hoax into people's minds too, along with their Holohoax, which is supposed to be real. What a mess.

Wasn’t trying to demoralize anyone. Buy yourself a moon watch. You’ll feel better.

Cool 'Moon watch'

Nice watch ...from what I remember, the original 'moon watch' was the Omega Speedmaster Professional chronograph ...itz still the only watch that's that's qualified by NASA for EVAs.

Thanks, TG.

On August 2, 1971, Apollo 15 made history—and with it a Bulova LUNAR PILOT CHRONOGRAPH. Customized for astronomical conditions, the watch could precisely track time and ensure that no one ran out of oxygen, water or battery power in the portable life-support-system backpack. It was also used to back up the on-board timers for the critical reentry into the earth’s atmosphere.

Bulova’s legendary engineering expertise was tapped by NASA to help with the US space efforts. That partnership led to 46 missions together, from the mid-1950s into the 1970s, and Bulova’s innovative Accutron technology was used in all instrument panel clocks and timekeeping mechanisms.

The original Bulova lunar pilot chronograph—the only privately-owned watch to make space history—sold at auction for an astronomical $1.625 million!

Bulova's made history again. Our latest Special Edition LUNAR PILOT CHRONOGRAPH replicates that original timepiece, updated with our exclusive high-performance quartz movement with a 262kHz vibrational frequency for unparalleled accuracy, to continue a history of precision timing. This new edition is complete with a polished stainless steel case, black dial with white accents, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, black polyester NATO strap with three-piece buckle closure and water resistance to 50 meters.

How the Bulova Lunar Pilot made it to the moon.

Quote:
The original Lunar Pilot was owned by astronaut David Scott, which was a one-of-a-kind timepiece gifted to the American astronaut. Despite the uniqueness and rarity of the timepiece, the designated timepiece for NASA astronauts was the government-issued and -approved Omega Speedmaster. However, NASA astronauts tended to carry a backup timepiece in the case when the designated one fails on them. This was the exact case for Scott, as the Omega Speedmaster issued to him got damaged during the Apollo 15 mission, with the front crystal popping off.

The Bulova Moon Watch – as his personal, yet backup timepiece, the Bulova graced the surface of the moon. Following the mission and returning back to earth, the Speedmaster had to be returned as it was a government-issued timepiece for the mission, while the Bulova remained under his ownership despite partaking in the Apollo 15 mission. Fast-forward to 2015, Scott auctioned off the Bulova timepiece, which brought about a price tag of around $1.6 million.
