Spot Check: What's Going on at Yale?

Reading through some old political lit, newspapers mags and such, came across copy of Yale Daily News from a couple years ago. Here's what was going on there that week in October 2011.

10-3

4pm, Francesca Trivellato, Yale University, "On Good and Bad Credit: A Forgotten Chapter in European Debates about Jews and Capitalism." Sponsored by Transitions to Modernity

4pm. Erik Hammerstrom, Pacific Lutheran University, "The Development of Buddhist Discourses About Science in Early Twentieth Century China." The Stanley Weinstein Dissertation Prize Lecture sponsored by East Asian Studies.

10-4

12 pm. Juan Rebolledo, Yale University, "Unlikely Alliances: Cross-Fractional Toleration of Regional Limitations on Democracies." Part of the Comparative Politics Workshop sponsored by the MacMillan Center and Political Science.

4 pm. Ulrike Guerot, European Council on Foreign Relations, "The Politics of Eurobonds." Sponsored by European Studies.

10-5

12 pm. Philip Yampolsky, University of Illinois, "Traditional Music in Timor, East and West." Part of the Southeast Asia Studies Brown Bag Seminar Series sponsored by Southeast Asia Studies.

4:30 pm. Girish Karnad, India, "Interrogating Our Culture." Part of the South Asia Colloquium Series sponsored by South Asian Studies.

6 pm. Nico Voigtlaender, UCLA, "Persecution Perpetuated: The Medieval Origins of Anti-Semitic Violence in Nazi Germany." Part of the OCV Speaker Series sponsored by Order, Conflict, and Violence.

10-6

4 pm. Jackson Town Hall Meeting with Janet Napolitano, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Sponsored by the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs.

4:30 pm. Xu Zhixiao, Fudan University, "My Thoughts on American Sinology." Part of the China Colloquium Series sponsored by East Asian Studies.

6:30 pm. The Human Resources Manager, directed by Eran Riklis. Followed by a discussion with Ayala Dvoretzky and Shiri Goren, Yale University. Part of the CMES Cinema Series sponsored by Middle East Studies.

10-7

12 pm. Ulrich Marzolph, Goettingen, "The Pictorial Representation of Shiite Themes in Lithiographed books of the Qajar Period." Sponsored by The Nineteenth-Century Art and Visual Culture Colloquium, History of Art Department, and the Iran Colloquium, Council on Middle East Studies.

And a nice big 1/4-page ad for "How to Be Gay," a lecture by David Halperin, "the W.H. Auden Distinguished University Professor of the History and Theory of Sexuality at the University of Michigan, where he is also Professor of English Language and Literature, Women's Studies, Comparative Literature, and Classical Studies. A scholar of ancient Greek literature and philosophy as well as a historian of sexuality, he has helped to establish the fields of lesbian and gay studies and queer theory."

==================================

Besides the lectures, which show the usual proclivity for anything but White themes, with a focus on yids and sex deviants and third-worlders, the particular issue I have features the staff talking about itself in the usual college way, ie self-absorbed, stupid, profane, that you see in all college papers these days. But you can garner the ethnic makeup.

names and guesses as to race/proclivity

vivian yee - ed. in chief: asian
colin ross - managing ed.: could be normal white male or queer
egidio debenedetto - managing ed: could be normal white male or queer
esther zuckerman - online ed./blog queen - as jewy as it gets
nora caplan-bricker - news: probably half-jew or full jew
lauren rosenthal - news: jew - if yale had an avg student these days, she would be it
ilana seager - sci/tech & culture: probably jew
marc beck - sportz: non-white, very dark skin, possible jew or adopted by one
rj rico - sportz: italian or puerto rican, skinny with glasses
christian vasquez - P&D: portugese neocon
raisa bruner - P&D: jew
eli markham - P&D: probably a jew
rachel needl - P&D: probably a jew
hannah lindt - P&D: probably a jew
rachel gilmore - city: a goy texan
rachel wang - city: asian
amir sharif -culture & multimedia: arab/muslim
alex klein - opinion: jew
andrew squire - opinion: jew: Although these staff thumbnails are 'witty' and 'tongue in cheek,' I assume they mean this: "His story begins in a dusty Russian shtetl, where his family made ends meet by towing carts with their beards. After discovering Mandrew's innate talent for copy-editing and chugging Natty, his mamka and papka got him a CCP scholarship to study at the prestigious Collegiate school in Manhattan. There he became editor-in-chief of the Collegiate Journal and used his manly muscles to bully Paul Needham '11, non-editor-in-chief. Before arriving, Mandrew crossed through Ellis Island, where his Russian name -- Mandrew Manlev Putinka -- was anglicized to Andrew Elster Kurtz Squire (that's really his name).

carys johnson - copy: female probably normal white
christian ndreko - copy: might be normal white, cant say for sure
asif rahman - copy: third-worlder of some sort
erin vanderhoof - copy: probably white normal
naina saligram - magazine: not white, no idea what she is, possibly indian
zara kessler - magazine: white, jew or white-looking jew

So that's what you're paying the better part of 100k a year to surround yourself with. The average yalie is a female jew. On the staff listing, notice the two most difficult jobs - managing ed. - may be both held by NWMs (normal white males). there's scarcely a one on the rest of the staff.

Spot Check: American University

[now, before reading article, what I knew about AU from living in DC is that you'd have a long, hard search to actually find an american student there; the few times I went there, it was full of pakis and other third worlders. now look who the queer-tappers are...]

LOL - the ZOG diploma mills are totally worthless and belong in the garbage dump of history.

They siphon off the top one third of the population and saddle them with debt thereby reducing their birthrates and possibly doing harm to the genetic quality of future generations due to putting off childbirth until later in life. The ZOG diploma mill monstrosity has written all over it.

Education should be K-12 and consist mostly in physical education and learning positive habits and skills that help you in life. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, resilient ability to overcome challenges and obstacles, keeping your mind sharp and your body physically fit, developing and maintaining positive relationships with others - these are of great value and need to be taught.

At 18 you are an adult and need to stand on your own - no more going to stupid, time wasting classes learning useless garbage you will never use.

Spot Check: Dartmouth

It’s Official: At Dartmouth, The Word ‘Fiesta’ Is Racist And White People Can’t Use It

04/26/2014

Another ridiculous politically-correct brouhaha has broken out at Dartmouth College, America’s most hopelessly and disturbingly fragile Ivy League school.

This time, the fracas is over a fundraiser for cardiac care that the Phi Delta Alpha fraternity and the Alpha Phi sorority had planned to jointly sponsor, reports Campus Reform.

Problems arose because a single student, junior Daniela Hernandez, was offended by the party’s theme of “Phiesta.”

As a result, the soiree, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled by the presidents of the respective Greek organizations.

Had the party happened, it would have included a live band as well as virgin piña coladas and strawberry daiquiris. There would also have been burritos, chips and salsa, and guacamole.

The cash raised at the event would have gone to benefit cardiac treatments.

However, Hernandez’s deep offense about racial insensitivity was enough to call it off.

The self-proclaimed “Mexican-born, United-States-raised, first-generation woman of color” declared in an angry email that “there are various problematic structures and ideologies regarding a Cinco de Mayo-inspired event,” according to Campus Reform.

She decreed her distaste for “the Americanization of Cinco de Mayo and its construction as a drinking holiday in the United States, cultural appropriation and the inappropriate usage of cultural clothing, and the exploitation of groups of people and cultures for the sake of business opportunities”—and, apparently, charity opportunities.

“It was sadly unsurprising that a culturally-themed party was seen as a casual venture for such a privileged institution such as Dartmouth,” Hernandez proclaimed.

Phi Delt president Taylor Catchcart explained why the Greek organizations folded.

“We felt that the possibility of offending even one member of the Dartmouth community was not worth the potential benefits of having the fundraiser,” he said.

This incident is one more in a long of episodes that pretty clear prove that Dartmouth is slowly going insane as an institution.

In February, for example, a lengthy, enigmatic email from an anonymous group of students appeared in students’ inboxes threatening “physical action” if administrators failed to meet a long list of demands. Administrators later caved and met many of those demands. (RELATED: Student terrorists threaten Dartmouth with ‘physical action’ if leftist demands not met)

In January, an assistant history professor at Dartmouth, Russell Rickford, called Martin Luther King, Jr. Day “a tool of the far-right imperialists to appease people.” (RELATED: Dartmouth professor: MLK Day is a far-right imperialist holiday)

Last April, Dartmouth cancelled classes for a day to hold a public forum addressing a small student group’s concerns that the Ivy League school supports social ills such as sexism, racism and capitalism. The aggrieved students had crashed a college recruiting event the previous week as part of their protest. (RELATED: Dartmouth cancels classes after leftists crash recruiting event with litany of absurd complaints)

In January 2013, an unidentified student at the august institution (founded 1769) allegedly walked past two students, made eye contact and spoke a bunch of gibberish that the students perceived as mock Chinese. Dartmouth’s Bias Incident Response Team then sprung into action. However, as far as The Daily Caller knows, that student remains a fugitive. (RELATED: Dartmouth student who spoke ‘mock Chinese’ remains on the lam)

the niggerizing of formal debate - and look at the college professors making excuses for relaxing the rules to aid niggers - that's what you're paying for when you purchase a college 'education'

Default ZOG Diploma Mills - Exibit A: Pettiness and whininess

Life is not all about "feeling good" and being accepted. Sometimes, it helps to get kicked around a bit. Hardship, struggle and pushing the limits of your abilities can often build character. Perpetually walking around with a bad case of butt-hurt does not.

With that, I give you Exhibit A: An effeminate sounding male "graduate student" whining over an allegedly overly critical professor takes to the cyberworld to vent - and gets sued by that professor:

UW-Whitewater Professor Sues Student Over Postings

Quote:
Anthony Llewellyn took a class last year from communications professor Sally Vogl-Bauer, but the experience didn't go well, the Janesville Gazette reported ( http://bit.ly/1hcjNmn ) Thursday.

Llewellyn posted comments on professor-rating sites accusing the teacher of criticizing his academic abilities, grading him unfairly and causing him to fail out of school. He said he spoke with her in April about his concerns, two months before he was told he had failed her class.

Vogl-Bauer contends the comments amount to defamation, while Llewellyn says his goal was simply to inform the public about how the professor treated him.

Don't Send Your Kid to the Ivy League

http://www.newrepublic.com/article/1...kids-elsewhere

Quote:
So extreme are the admission standards now that kids who manage to get into elite colleges have, by definition, never experienced anything but success. The prospect of not being successful terrifies them, disorients them. The cost of falling short, even temporarily, becomes not merely practical, but existential. The result is a violent aversion to risk. You have no margin for error, so you avoid the possibility that you will ever make an error. Once, a student at Pomona told me that she’d love to have a chance to think about the things she’s studying, only she doesn’t have the time. I asked her if she had ever considered not trying to get an A in every class. She looked at me as if I had made an indecent suggestion.
Quote:
That doesn’t mean there aren’t a few exceptions, but that is all they are. In fact, the group that is most disadvantaged by our current admissions policies are working-class and rural whites, who are hardly present on selective campuses at all. The only way to think these places are diverse is if that’s all you’ve ever seen.

Just say no to college! Why it’s the worst decision a young American can make

For today's grads, a job is no sure thing, but decades of debt may be. And don't get me started on the "education"

MATTHEW SACCARO

Each autumn, millions of young Americans parade into colleges with cheap plastic furniture in tow, expecting their work over the next four years to result in a career worth going into debt for. Instead, they jeopardize their futures. There’s not a worse decision a young American can make than attending college sans parental money or massive scholarship.

Let’s start off with the basics. In 2012, 71 percent of all students who graduated accrued some amount of student loan debt, with the average amount of debt soaring to $29,400. More than half of student loans officially became delinquent or in deferral in 2013. New information indicates this trend will only worsen; recent college graduates face the worst unemployment rate in more than 20 years, as well as severe underemployment, with 44 percent of grads saying they could find work but not enough of it. Not even the vaunted STEM fields are immune from the perils of cheap labor, smartsizing, and the Great Recession.

Here’s where college apologists will say debt used to acquire a degree is “good debt” since it ultimately pays off in the end — both because the degree will land you a job and provide “intellectual enrichment” and “critical thinking” and other impossible to quantify, dubious buzzwords used in college marketing pamphlets across the country.

This baby boomer-esque sentiment is garbage.

First of all, there’s a decent chance that students will be indebted forever. Tuition is increasing so much it’s outpacing inflation. That money isn’t even going into educating the students and/or providing them with highly valuable internships during school or jobs after graduation. Instead, much of the tuition dollars are being funneled into administrator salaries, as well as salaries for coaches and athletic directors and other sports-related nonsense. Tuition dollars are also crucial in providing amenities that are absent in some 5-star hotels. Yet colleges across the country are sporting these luxuries, things like mega-gyms, gourmet eateries, washing machines that make the Curiosity rover look like an obsolescent tin can, and more. Colleges are spending money on salaries and sales gimmicks, not on what matters. “Hey, kids! Come to our college; we’re Club Med. Oh and yeah there are some courses but that’s not important.”

It’s no wonder that in 2011, a Chronicle of Higher Education study found that “large numbers of U.S. college students can be accurately described as academically adrift. They might graduate, but they are failing to develop the higher-order cognitive skills that it is widely assumed college students should master.” To put it in less pedantic language, students are paying tens of thousands of dollars for a degree and walking away equally empty-headed as they were when they graduated high school, straight-A’s notwithstanding. The degree, which failed to get them a job, failed to educate them as well.

More proof: In September 2013, a report by a Washington-based think tank concluded that “many accredited public and nonprofit colleges and universities fail even basic tests of quality, yet remain accredited” due to the bureaucratically bloated accreditation process.

But people know this now! College is reforming; it’ll all be OK!

True, like winter, reforms are coming. Higher education still hasn’t plummeted to its nadir. Universities are ripping out their own guts. They’re slashing programs in history, economics and physics in an ”Idiocracy”-like display of irony and embarrassment. Colleges are eschewing their very purpose — to educate people — so they can attempt to become finishing schools for yuppies or discount degree mills. At a glance, trimming the fat and emphasizing coursework that builds “marketable” skills sounds like the proper solution. The professoriat disagrees. One Boston College professor referred to this process as “creating Walmarts of higher education — convenient, cheap, and second-rate.” And the price-cutting at many colleges is naught but an older-than-dirt sales tactic used to manipulate degree-seekers into thinking they’re getting a good deal when they’re getting shafted. Degrees are becoming intellectual and professional fast food, only pumped with worthless “life skill” coursework and barely (or non) paying internships instead of carcinogenic preservatives. In 2014, a degree means you can do work totally unrelated to your “education,” like answering phones or operating a cash register.

All this horror awaits if you succeed at college and get your degree in four years. Your fate is worse if you attend but then decide academia, even at its lowest level, isn’t for you. Failing to jump through the hoops carries a steep price of debt and unemployment; more than half of unemployed Americans have attended at least some college.

Attending college might be the worst decision you can make as a young adult in America. You’re paying for nothing that you can’t get elsewhere for less money or free, save for the piece of paper with a con man’s signature on it.

In the UK even bigger scams are being perpetrated whereby existing qualifications "run out" and have to be renewed at great expense. At the moment at the cost of £4,500 I am encapsulating for the systems convenience 50,000 hours of management into one diploma which will run out in five years !!!.

Of course "it is free will" and not "compulsory" but unless you have a relation or a crony forget about any blue chip cold call jobs in the UK. Granted this is the extreme end of the scam but even unskilled labourers are being shook down for £100 every two years. Of course these multiple choice check box exams are complete bullshit even for a primitive.

It does however provide lucrative employment for freemasons and other specialists in "process management"

Why are so many major universities located in extremely dangerous wild negro preserves?

Off the top of my head I can think of Rutgers, Hofstra, St John's (some of its campuses), Temple, Duke, Berkeley, and UCLA.

Is there some kind of theory that proposes niggers will get smarter via osmosis if they live next to a university? Or is the goal to set a honey trap for white kids and trusting rural out-of-towners to be raped and murdered by niggers?

So your theory is that the universities want their students to be raped and murdered?

Sounds dubious at best.

They didn't start that way, the nigger areas grew up around them, ironically thanks to policies advocated in most of those colleges.

Colleges want students to be promiscuous without suffering any consequences from it. They hope or believe they can achieve this by making technical knowledge and devices widely available.
