Police officers detain a Femen activist near the parliament dressed in a costume with a slogan "Putin go home" written on it . It seems foreign funded agent provocateurs doing their best to disrupt the Russian president's official visit to Hungary.

JOBBIK: DEFINITE NO TO MILITARY PARTICIPATION

The US's Orwellian calls for sovereign countries to participate in the war seem particularly scary now when the Hungarian government, undermining the seemingly sovereign status of our nation, succumbs to such calls and changes its opinion on this matter for the third time this week. As it is known, the United States and its allies in the region are responsible for the destabilization of Iraq and Syria as well as the armament of the Islamic State. We are astounded by the US's attempts to shirk its responsibility and pass the burdens of its ill-considered foreign policy to its allies.

Therefore, Jobbik continues to categorically reject the idea of a Hungarian military participation in the fight against the Islamic State, so our parliamentary group will not vote for it in the National Assembly. Although Jobbik deeply condemns any violence against Christians or anti-extremist Muslims, we must also consider that the Hungarian army's size and equipment render it unprepared for completing such a mission, which would rather increase our exposure to a terrorist threat, too.

On the other hand, Jobbik is ready to consider, or even support the idea of sending humanitarian aid or other resources - excluding weapons - in order to help the anti-ISIS coalition.

Jobbik welcomes the Fidesz government's decision to adopt the party's foreign policy initiatives

Monday, March 9, 2015

Jobbik is pleased to see that the Fidesz government has adopted a long standing Jobbik policy directive regarding the diversification of Hungary's foreign policy said Jobbik floor leader Márton Gyöngyösi reacting to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's remarks at the ambassadorial meeting today.

The opposition politician said: The Orbán Government a bit late, but finally adopted "Jobbik foreign policy initiative based on the German-Turkish-Russian triangle; this foreign policy strategy alone serves Hungarian national interests said Gyöngyösi.

Jobbik also welcomes the government's acknowledgment of the obvious facts that the Hungarian economy can't be solely based on the export activities of multinational corporations; instead, the development of domestic economy has to be given priority so that it can play a major part in the country's economic growth.

Gyöngyösi on the other hand indicated that Jobbik strongly opposes the prime minister's initiative to create an Euro-Atlantic coalition in the context of war against the Islamic State.

"We continue to believe that Hungary shouldn't be involved militarily in the conflict, because previous press statements clearly demonstrated that it was the west that created the Islamic State and therefore, it is the west's responsibility to deal with it wrote the Jobbik politician.

Goodbye to lower utility bills, say hello to energy policy dictated by Brussels

Jobbik is astonished to learn that the EU summit made a unanimous decision yesterday to establish a so-called energy union. Viktor Orbán gave Hungary's consent to eliminating our nation's energy independence. Under the disguise of the energy union, Brussels will practically be able to interfere with any energy policy decisions of the member states.

In the past few months, Hungary got a first-hand experience what this means. Getting the South Stream gas pipeline cancelled, niggling over the enhancement of the Paks Nuclear Plant as well as the long-term gas supply contract all indicate that Brussels is far more invested in representing Transatlantic business interests than the energy security of Hungary or Central Europe.

We are dumbfounded by Viktor Orbán's unconditional support of the decision as the so-called final Council statement accepted by the leaders of the member states contains a specific reference to ensuring that public intervention is compatible with the internal market. This sentence clearly means the end of nationally regulated energy prices, in other words, lower energy bills. In addition, Hungary will not be allowed to conclude long-term gas supply contracts without the EU's approval. Greater transparency in EU language means interference with decisions.

In Jobbik's view, this means giving up Hungary's energy independence sinfully for little benefits, in return for some "shiny trinkets."

Lajos Kepli, MP in charge of Jobbik's energy policy

Party leader Vona dispatches racists from Jobbik

Those, who think that this party distinguishes people based on race, religion or anything else, are by mistake members of the party – Gabor Vona said. The party leader sent a message to anti-Roma and anti-Semitic members to find themselves a new party, origo.hu said.

Gábor Vona was talking about it at a press conference held in the Parliament. The first man of the party called the victory of Lajos Rig (Jobbik) historic significant after the next day of the Tapolca elections.

No place for racists in Jobbik

Gabor Vona wants to do a people’s party process in Jobbik. According to Hir24, the politician said he assumed the responsibility for their own “wildings” and he would “trim them off”.

He sent a message to the anti-Semitic and anti-Roma members: Jobbik does not have and will not have any program which distinguishes people based on their race, religion or any other things. As he said, if someone would expect that, he or she was by mistake in the party. They told them to find another party.

Jobbik is looking more and more like a lost cause. I've been patient with them and tried to see their positive sides, but there's too much garbage like the above coming from there in recent times.

Yes, I was one of those few willing to ignore the Turanism, Turkophilia, chauvinism and insane territorial appetites for the potential greater good (causing problems for the EU/Americans), but this now has become too much.

Armed Ukrainian organization threatens Jobbik and HVIM

An armed organization of Ukrainian nationalists called Karpatska Sitsh (KS) threatened to apply violent measures to annihilate the activists of supposedly hostile Hungarian organizations and parties operating in the Lower Carpathians, claiming that they undermine the authority of the Ukrainian state. The communiqué specifically names Jobbik and Sixty-four Counties Youth Movement (HVIM)

They cry self-assassination

The press release was posted on the paramilitary organization's social media sites and re-posted by news portals operating in the Lower Carpathians. It claims there have been several provocations aiming to prompt clashes between the local Ukrainian and the Hungarian communities, and the conflict might escalate to the Western regions of Ukraine.

"Agent provocateurs have sprayed paint over the Hungarian inscriptions on the street signs of Hungarian villages in the Lower Carpathians. This is an obvious provocation by Russia, which has long been ready to strike at our home front, our Lower Carpathians" says the press release, which also claims that the regional information war, which has long been going on, is now turning into hard action.

A few days ago we reported that the "language war" of the Ung region has brought the vandalization of Hungarian street signs, but the perpetrators remained unknown. After the incident, the Ukrainian authorities were also talking about a destabilization attempt, as if Hungarian street signs hadn't been vandalized before the beginning of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict, or as if it hadn't had decade-long "traditions".

Lethal threat

"We declare that the warriors of KS, a special task force will continue monitoring the developments (in the Lower Carpathians) and will react to the events taking place in the county; if we find anti-Ukrainian activities posing a threat to the Ukrainian nation or state, or such ideas being spread, we will be forced to apply violent measures against the hostile Hungarian organizations and parties (Jobbik and HVIM) operating in Ukrainian territory in order to liquidate and arrest their activists undermining the authority of the Ukrainian state.

Jobbik: we will not let it happen

In response to the news, a joint press release was issued by Márton Gyöngyösi, the deputy leader of Jobbik's Parliamentary Group and Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly, and Jobbik MP Ádám Mirkóczki, member of the National Security Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly, who is also the party's spokesman.

The document is titled "The Hungarian authorities must protect Hungarian citizens in the Lower Carpathians!" and it states that the patriotic party is astounded to hear that the extreme Chauvinist Karpatska Sitsh paramilitary organization is threatening to liquidate Jobbik and HVIM activists living in the Lower Carpathians, as well as basically any Hungarian people, since anyone can be accused with baseless allegations any time. Although the above-mentioned patriotic organizations took a firm stance to support Hungarian-Ruthenian autonomy efforts in the Lower Carpathians and criticized the anti-minority policies and measures of Kiev's Chauvinistic puppet government, they have never done anything illegal; pointed out the two politicians.

"Jobbik will take immediate steps to convene the joint session of the Foreign Affairs and the National Security Committees in order to investigate what measures the Hungarian government and the relevant Hungarian authorities and diplomats are planning to take in defence of the Hungarian citizens living in the Lower Carpathians." they said, adding that Jobbik and HVIM which follows the same national policy will not allow themselves to be forced off their path by such aggressive threats.

"Our goal is to guarantee the security of the Hungarian community and to help them prosper in their own homeland" they wrote.

Jobbik objects to the positive commemoration of genocide in Ukraine

Jobbik objects to the decision of Ukraine's Parliament on April 9 to pass a bill legalizing the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) as a fighter for Ukrainian independence in the 20th century. Pursuant to the new law, the UPA, which operated during World War II and beyond, will be entitled to the status of fighter for the independence of Ukraine, and the public denial of it as such will be a criminal offence from now on.

Between 1943 and 1947, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army conducted a genocide in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia, with over 100 000 Polish victims. UPA's goal was to create a state exclusively populated by Ukrainians by way of ethnic cleansing of Hungarians, Poles, Ruthenians, Russians and Romanians living in Western Ukraine at the time.

Jobbik believes that building a national identity on such basis and the positive commemoration of these events at state level poses a threat to the security of Ukraine's neighbours as well as the ethnic minorities living in Ukraine. If the Ukrainian state legalizes the methods used by the UPA, what would prevent similar atrocities from being repeated in the future?

Jobbik requests the governments of Ukraine's neighbours, with special regard to the Government of Hungary, to express their objection to the latest manifestation of Ukraine's state-induced Chauvinism. We call upon our government to take measures in order to protect the human rights of Ukraine's ethnic minorities and to demand a supposedly democratic Ukraine to guarantee the political, cultural and educational autonomy for these minorities. Such action is imperative at a time when Ukraine's government and legislation unanimously are elevating mass murderers to national hero status even though they were responsible for the deaths of ten thousands of people.

At the same time, we address Ukrainian legislators and ask them to reconsider the consequences of their decision. How will the Ukrainian state observe the human rights of hundred thousands of Hungarians, Poles, Ruthenians, Russians and Romanians, as individuals and as a community, if Ukraine's legislative body enacts a law to protect and glorify the people who murdered the ancestors of the above communities?

Jobbik Movement for a Better Hungary will closely monitor each and every consequence of this law, regardless which ethnic minority they may impact, and shall immediately inform the Hungarian and the international public of any wrongdoing committed by the Kiev Government against its own ethnic minorities.

Márton Gyöngyösi
Deputy leader of Jobbik's Parliamentary Group

Adevărul: What will happen if Jobbik governs Hungary

Romanian media has taken notice of Jobbik's growing popularity and daily newspaper Adevărul published an interview with Jobbik's vice president István Szávay. The journalist was interested in Jobbik's opinion about certain issues that relate to both countries.

The interview was made by Dragoș Tîrnoveanu.

DT: According to a statement on your website, you declared during your latest visit to Northern Transylvania that if Jobbik gets into power, they will encourage Hungary-based companies to create jobs in Transylvania. Would these new jobs be available for Hungarians only, or other nationals as well?

SzI: In our opinion, Hungarian (and non-Hungarian, for that matter) companies investing into businesses beyond the border should consider two things: at least in the Hungarian-populated regions, their HR policies should give preference to people who can speak Hungarian as well, and use two or more languages of business within their corporation. In Hungary, we consider it natural that a German company requires its employees to have a certain command of the German language, as it may be important for business operation.

So the question is not whether Hungarian companies should give jobs to Hungarian people, but that at least in the Hungarian-populated areas of Transylvania, at least the employees of Hungarian companies should be able to speak Hungarian, since it is a demand of the local community as well. In the minds of Transylvanian Hungarians, OTP is a Hungarian bank. That is the very reason for many people to choose this bank for having their account there, so it is quite disagreeable if none of the employees speak Hungarian in an OTP branch office in Marosvásárhely or Kolozsvár. By the way, there are several examples of Hungarian companies like that within the Carpathian basin but outside the borders of Hungary, not to mention firms of other nationality.

I am convinced that if at least the Hungarian companies made a point of employing staff who can (also) speak Hungarian, they could better accommodate the needs of the local population. In addition, speaking Hungarian would become a competitive edge for job seekers, which would in turn weaken the resolve of Hungarian-speaking Transylvanians to emigrate, slow down the assimilation of Hungarians living outside Hungary and may help them to preserve their identity in their own homeland.

DT: You mentioned that Romania and Hungary have several common issues to solve, but any potential solution is delayed by the national security considerations of autonomy published by Romania's Ministry of Interior Affairs. Can you tell us which these common issues are and how they could be solved? What steps would Jobbik take against the strategy for public order and security recently issued by the Romanian Ministry of Interior Affairs?

SzI: Let me point out that territorial autonomy of native ethnic communities, which has been an existing and functional practice all over Western Europe, may never be considered as a potential threat to public security. On the contrary: I am convinced that it would strengthen the country that provides such autonomy for its native ethnic communities. Let me add that the autonomy of Szeklerland would boost the economic development of the local Romanian community as well. However, if the said strategy for public order and security is accepted, which I hope will never happen, then we must and will use every bilateral and international forums to struggle for its cancellation. Autonomy is not a potential separatist threat, and the criminalization of autonomy efforts cannot be considered as an internal affair of Romania!

In my opinion however, this is nothing but a wilful effort by certain Romanian politicians to divert attention from the country's intensifying problems; the corruption scandals of the Romanian political elite, the blatant abuse of parliamentary immunity as well as the social, economic and financial problems. That is why I said in Kolozsvár that if the Romanian political sphere was more transparent, Romanian politicians would less often play the ethnic card.

This brings us to former Romanian president Emil Constantinescu's statement that there is no "grand common goal that could unite Romanians and Hungarians". In my opinion, there are indeed very many common goals like that. For example, one goal is to halt the emigration of the young and not-so-young generations, ensuring them to get jobs in line with their qualifications, knowledge and skills so that they could prosper in their homeland, thus preventing an impending demographic and social disaster. Another goal is to prevent the economic exploitation and colonization of the EU's recently joined Central Eastern European countries and nations by the more advanced Western states. Further grand common goals could be to eliminate corruption, to solve the situation of the Gypsy community or to preserve and boost national cultures disdained and considered as outdated by globalist Brussels.

I hope that the responsible thinkers of the Romanian political sphere will realize the importance of these goals and finally stop scaring citizens with baseless accusations of separatism, which pointlessly impairs Romanian-Hungarian relations at group and individual levels as well. On the grounds of the above, I also hope that Romanian politicians will eventually reject the current draft strategy for public order and security!

DT: What is your opinion about cooperation with the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (RMDSZ)? According to Romanian media reports, you declared in Satu Mare that Jobbik was ready to closely cooperate with the Hungarian People's Party of Transylvania (EMNP).

SzI: What we see is that the Hungarian People's Party of Transylvania is a political organization that more firmly represents the interests of Hungarians in Transylvania. However, I believe it is important to emphasize that Jobbik endeavours to cooperate with all organizations representing Hungarian people. The depth and quality of such cooperation mostly depends on the other party, not us.

DT: Could Jobbik and RMDSZ cooperate in developing a common standpoint on the strategy for public order and security published by the Ministry of Interior Affairs?

SzI: The strategy for public order and security is like the matter of territorial autonomy for Szeklerland. The former must be opposed by everybody, while the latter must be firmly supported by everybody. Jobbik can and will cooperate with any political organization that shares the same common ground in this regard.

DT: What measures would Jobbik, Hungary's second strongest party implement for the interest of the Hungarian community in Romania? If your party gets into government in Hungary, how would that modify your goals?

SzI: At present, Jobbik is Hungary's second strongest political party and the only government-capable challenger of current government party Fidesz, the voter base of which is constantly shrinking. According to the surveys, 1.5 million dedicated voters support us. The most recent opinion polls show that we are merely 3% away from Fidesz, therefore the idea of Jobbik taking over the government in 2018 or even earlier is completely realistic.

I know that there are certain fears about that but let me point out a few facts. Jobbik is not Noua Dreaptă. We don't want to drive away anybody, we are not anti-Romanian, we are pro-Hungarian. It is not commonly known in the Romanian political sphere yet it is a fact that Hungary's act on ethnic minorities currently in force was amended by certain chapters proposed by Jobbik to render it easier for local national minorities, including the Romanian community, to use their mother tongues officially in Hungary. You can easily check this out in the website of the Hungarian National Assembly. When we get into government, we shall maintain this expansive approach to ethnic minority rights, because it is our core principle that Hungary must conduct an exemplary ethnic minority policy.

It is an unfortunate yet well-known fact that Romanian-Hungarian relations are currently at a very low point. Getting into government, Jobbik will restore Romanian-Hungarian dialogue at the highest levels too, including joint meeting sessions of the two governments as well as forums on cross-border infrastructural and economic development. We are convinced that nothing but the honest declaration of problems can help us find solutions that are fruitful for all parties. Meanwhile, we will take a more firm stance on supporting the rightful demands of Hungarian communities living outside our borders, we will promote such issues as the widest possible territorial autonomy, the existential and legal safety of Hungarians living abroad as well as their rights related to language use, culture and education. We believe that the tendency of Transylvania being a net contributor and Wallachia being a net recipient in Bucharest's fiscal policy must be stopped. This approach blocks the economic development of the Transylvanian Romanian community as well. We also want to promote Transylvanian companies keeping the centre of their business operation in Transylvania so that they could support the development and growth of local towns and villages by the taxes they pay. We are convinced that the Romanian and the Hungarian communities of Transylvania would equally profit from such arrangement.

By the end of its government term, Jobbik will have raised fivefold the amount of Hungarian state subsidy given to the Hungarian communities living abroad. Our intention is to promote Hungarian education, culture and economy abroad, in other words, to help Hungarians stay in their homelands, which also benefits the neighbouring countries since fewer of their tax-paying citizens will emigrate and they can truly feel at home in their homelands.

Militant Ukrainian chauvinists keep issuing threats

While threatening to liquidate Jobbik and Sixty-Four Counties Movement (HVIM) members, Karpatska Sitsh (KS) operates military training camps in the Lower Carpathians. The organization's activists advertise the camps in public areas, stating that their goal is to prepare trainees for combat situations as well as to eliminate any "anti-Ukraine activity" by violent measures if necessary. According to the Information Office and the Military National Security Service, they must not be underestimated. Hungarian web-site Alfahír requested an opinion from an expert, who analyzed the organization's preparedness and agreed with the standpoint of the two services. Meanwhile, Jobbik collects donations to help Hungarians living in the Lower Carpathians.

Readers of Alfahír sent some recent photos from Ungvár. The pictures show how Karpatska Sitsh advertises itself on public walls and lampposts. As you may remember, the Ukrainian chauvinist organization became infamous in Hungary for threatening Jobbik and HVIM activists by liquidation and arrest. The unit, which had taken part in several gunfights in the Donbass area, released a communiqué stating that they would monitor the activity of Hungarians in the Lower Carpathians and if they hear of any "anti-Ukraine" actions they will use violent measures if necessary.

After this threat, Jobbik released a communiqué in which Márton Gyöngyösi, the deputy leader of the Parliamentary Group and Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly and Ádám Mirkóczki, member of the National Security Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly stated that the party would continue to do its best to guarantee the security of the Hungarian community in the Lower Carpathians so that they could lead a prosperous life in their homeland. They added that although the two patriotic organizations HVIM and Jobbik had always taken a firm stance to support Hungarian-Ruthenian autonomy efforts in the Lower Carpathians and criticized the anti-minority policies and measures of Kiev's chauvinistic puppet government, they had never done anything illegal. In the same communiqué, they proposed to convene a meeting of the National Security Committee.

In the Commitee's closed session, the Information Office and the Military National Security Service briefed the MPs. Subsequently, Socialist committee chairman Zsolt Molnár declared that the threat must be taken seriously. He said that these extremist Ukrainian organizations with their few hundred members must not be underestimated because they have the actual means to carry out their threats.
Using the information sources available, expert of Alfahír evaluated the preparedness of Karpatska Sitsh and concluded that these groups cannot be regarded as a disciplined unit even though the members of the organization did receive military training. Analysing the footage of the training and practice sessions, he noticed several signs of unprofessional work, for example, the finger of a participant is on the trigger even while climbing in through a window and their hand signals are inconsistent, too. The images also show that unit members do not have identical camouflage uniforms and there is no military discipline in their camps. The fact that their magazines spot the Ukrainian national colours may be sufficient to reinforce their chauvinistic feelings but it is completely pointless and even dangerous from a military aspect, especially when the unit is supposed to hide. Besides, you can also see that some people don't even have practice weapons occasionally, while they pose with RPGs, sitting on top of armoured personnel carriers at other times.

On the other hand, the consultant did agree that they must not be underestimated because they may have extensive experience with live weapons and ammunition, unlike any Hungarian paramilitary units which do not have such practice at shooting ranges. Besides, many members of the Ukrainian groups have been in real combat situations. There are rumours that they have lost a few comrades, too. What we know for certain is that they uploaded a video about how they provided care for an injured group member.

Based on the available video footage, the headcount of Karpatska Sitsh may be around 50. It is hard to tell for certain however, as they constantly recruit people so they may have new personnel joining each day. According to a recent Karpathir report, the unit operates a training camp in the Lower Carpathians, where they simulate combat conditions to prepare their warriors for the military conflict in Eastern Ukraine. The graduates of this training camp can go straight to the actual frontline.

In the meantime, Jobbik asks its members and supporters to aid the Hungarian community in the Lower Carpathians. Gábor Vona issued a press release to call the attention of the public to the difficult situation of Hungarians in the Lower Carpathians and asked citizens to give donations to the Campus for the Future Foundation. Earlier in May, vice president István Szávay told in a television interview that the first few days of the campaign brought significant donations already. The politician, who is currently banned from Ukraine territory, also said that Jobbik MPs joined a delegation locally to find out the exact needs of the community and guaranteed that the donations would go to the appropriate places. Local report of Alfahír showed how badly people need assistance in the region, as they have difficulty putting bread on the table while families are separated by military drafts.

Jobbik: anti-Russia sanctions cause serious damage

The European Union has extended the economic sanctions against Russia for a further six months until January 31, 2016. Jobbik rejects the decision made by the Foreign Ministers of EU member states.

"It is a hypocritical and false approach to only hold Russia accountable for meeting the requirements laid out in the Minsk Accord, while Kiev enjoys significant aid in spite of the country's repeated violations of the agreement" said Márton Gyöngyösi, the vice chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly to Alfahir.

In Jobbik's view, the sanctions are in stark contrast with the real interests of EU member states.

"We are sorry to see Hungary joining the ritual self-sacrifice at the altar of American interests as the sanctions have proven to cause economic and political damage to Hungary."

In his press release, Gyöngyösi reminds the public that the sanctions endorsed by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szíjjártó are contrary to the government's approach to the Eastern opening policy.

Jobbik requests the Hungarian government to commit itself and declare which matters more: serving Euro-Atlantic interests or the real interests of the EU and Hungary? The party also calls upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade to abandon "the servile accommodation of foreign instructions and start acting upon the Hungarian interests in relation with the East, and try to represent the Eastern opening policy in better ways than empty rhetoric

Neutral Finland makes dialogue impossible

In Jobbik's view, Finland, a state otherwise showing an exemplary neutrality for a Western country, has committed a grave mistake by refusing to allow several important members, including the Speaker of the Russian Parliament, to travel to the Parliamentary Assembly session of the international organization.

This practice is in utter contradiction with the declared mission of the organization, which was established under the name CSCE right there in Helsinki in 1975, in order to facilitate an East-West dialogue during the cold war years. OSCE, which lists crisis management as a top priority, is in fact intensifying the Ukraine crisis by preventing a real political dialogue otherwise promoted by international organizations, thus questioning its own legitimacy.

Jobbik is convinced that the Ukraine crisis, which is driven by underlying geopolitical-geostrategic interests, can only be ended by way of negotiations, which requires allowing the representatives of each affected country to voice their opinions at various international forums.

Tibor Bana, Jobbik's delegate to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

Wake up, Europe! Civil war has reached Transcarpathia!

The Transcarpathian town of Munkács (Mukachevo) is living in civil war conditions as the gunmen of extremist Right Sector (Praviy Sektor) engaged in a gunfight with the bodyguards of an MP and the arriving police Saturday afternoon. Unconfirmed media reports talk about the use of heavy artillery, several people dead or injured. The roads to Ungvár (Uzhgorod) are blocked, there are cars in flames on the streets, the secret service and the army has already been deployed.

Munkács is just a leap away from Beregszász (Beregovo), the centre of the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia. This is neither the East Ukraine war theatre nor a distant, theoretical threat any longer. Unfortunately, the earlier warnings issued by Jobbik, which has been accused of baseless panic-mongering, have been justified: the real threat and the real danger is posed by the extremist units of the Right Sector, which all honest Ukrainians and Hungarians must jointly oppose!

Jobbik has doubts whether the Western-backed Ukrainian government can protect its citizens if the situation escalates, with special regard to the ethnic minorities living in its territory. Transcarpathia cannot become a front zone like Eastern Ukraine! So the United States and the European Union both have a great responsibility in this situation.

Jobbik expects the Hungarian government to do its best in order to protect the Hungarian community in Transcarpathia and use all means possible to call the attention of the international public to the gravity of the situation as well as the threat involved!

István Szávay vice president, Jobbik

JOBBIK WELCOMES THE AGREEMENT ON IRAN'S NUCLEAR PROGRAMME

Jobbik welcomes the nuclear agreement between Western powers and Iran, which was concluded in Vienna on Monday. It is a key step towards ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East. We hope that the agreement will put an end to the decades-long anti-Iran Western campaign, especially the wrong sanction policy of the past nine years.

Ever since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the USA, along with its Western and Middle Eastern allies have kept Tehran under constant pressure, going as far as to provoke a war against Iran as it happened during the Iraq-Iran conflict in the 1980s. The current agreement may give a chance to end this harmful process.

In recent years, Iran has shown exemplary patience and consideration and sat at the negotiating table, allowing insight into its nuclear facilities, unlike Israel or Saudi Arabia who happen to be the most fervent opponents of this agreement. While the Islamic State, which was created with the backing of these countries, is destroying the Middle East with unheard-of barbarism, they conduct their war-like policy against one of the region's most peaceful nations.

Jobbik hopes that the agreement will also make way for an anti-ISIS coalition and prompt Western powers to focus their efforts on organizations posing a real and serious threat instead of fighting against invented dangers and fabricated accusations.

EUROPE'S FUTURE: AT THE CROSSROADS OF EASTERN RELATIONS AND WESTERN FALL

These are historic times for Europe. The events of recent months have clearly revealed the fault lines and shown the different paths which had been barely analysed or even mentioned in academic political and economic essays so far.

In Hungary, the so-called "Eastern Opening" policy has been known for the general public as well as politicians and academic research groups due to the rise of China, India or Turkey and the decline of the United States' power. However, the question has become one of the most pressing issues of the present, not the distant future. It has been increasingly obvious that we are facing the war of two world orders.

Emerging powers have become real challengers of the old establishment. The ongoing war between them and their respective backers has economic, political as well as important philosophical and cultural aspects. Not only are we witnessing the emergence of new powers, we can also observe a significant conceptual difference between the United States and its European allies, the advocates of liberal democracy and their challengers, who build upon traditional values. It is clear that the two approaches can no longer tolerate each other within their own spheres of influence, the transitional period will soon conclude and a new world order will be established. What kind of new world order is it going to be, and where can we find its roots?

From a bipolar world to the fall of neoliberalism

It was a long road from the organic world order to the current situation. Throughout human history, the powers of Earth were typically organized into a multipolar system. However, the 20th century brought about a completely new situation: the political and military dominance of the two superpowers created a new, bipolar system, and the hegemons of each pole divided the whole world into two. The two forces were trying to achieve a monopoly in their own respective territories so that their political, social and economic systems could be the only long-lasting and sustainable one, which all other societies would eventually have to adopt.

In this particular aspect, both approaches, i.e. communism and liberal democracy were quite similar: both of them were characterized by an intensive presence of messianism, an unshakeable belief in having the best possible system and a complete lack of understanding the idea that different societies could develop along different courses. However, the existing form of communism has become obsolete by the 1990s, leading to the collapse of the part of the communist block which was directly controlled by the Soviet Union. For a brief historic moment, it seemed that the liberal West had won, and a monopolar world order could be established.

The arrogance of the liberal democratic block led by the United States of America was quite clearly demonstrated when it was heralding the end of all real power struggles in the world and the monopoly of the Western, Euro-Atlantic world order, drawing inspiration from Marxism's concept of linear history and class struggle. Western think tanks seem to have fully believed the platitudes of their own propaganda machine. In their arrogance, they imagined that the fall of communism would enable them to subdue the whole world in an everlasting monopolar system centred around the US and the West.

However, the downsides of the liberals' overwhelming optimism in the 90's were soon uncovered. The religious and ethnic conflicts breaking out over the ruins of the communist block and the economic failures of the post-communist countries were the first signs to show that a considerable part of the world is unable to adopt the neoliberal doctrines. Such new powers as Russia, China, India, Brazil or South Africa, which emerged in the first decade of the millennium, clearly demonstrated that not only were they unable to toe the monopolar Washington line, but they were not willing to do so, either.

Transition into a multipolar world order: war or peace?

As I wrote above, the nature of the current transition is not merely political. The reasons for the decline of the Euro-Atlantic world and liberal democracy do not exclusively lie in the inability of the United States and its close allies to continue financing their role as the world's policemen (although it is a substantial reason indeed), but in the deep intellectual crisis of the West. Perhaps this intellectual burnout was the most difficult factor for Western ideologists and political leaders to comprehend and digest.

Western philosophy, which had abandoned medieval traditionalism and relied more and more heavily on Anglo-Saxon imperialism as the global colonization process advanced, has always been intolerant of other civilisations. Regardless of historical eras and ideologies, it established an ego- and West-centred belief system, according to which the imperialist European powers were not only waging wars for material gains, but they conducted a messianic civilisational struggle to deliver culture to the "barbarian peoples". The enslavement of South American, Asian or African nations was presented as a cultural mission for the people of the Western countries.

The tyranny of the self-important Western world reached its peak upon the collapse of the colonial system. Raising the banner of liberal democracy and denying their own nationalist past and national "grandeur" derived from the exploitation of others, the former colonizers dealt the cards again, hiding behind "human rightism" this time. Offering the false promise of freedom, they created dysfunctional, religiously and ethnically divided countries behind unrealistic, arbitrarily drawn borders. Thus they sowed the seeds of war and instability in Africa as well as the Arab world for several decades. They seemingly pulled out, but they continued to blackmail the elites they had put into power, never failing to apply the principle of "divide and rule". A typical sign of their arrogance is that they regularly accuse other countries of being undemocratic and call them to account for Western values, even though these countries have been living according to the norms of a completely different civilisation. Moreover, many of them were deprived of a chance for democratic development due to the Western powers' prior actions to incite internal tensions and immorally support local oligarchs.

On a geopolitical scale, Western strategy has hardly changed since the age of colonization. Back then they achieved their goals through invasions, openly boasting about their modern nationalism. Now they are doing so by way of political arm-twisting with the help of propaganda machines, non-governmental organisations and foundations functioning as agents to incite coups d'état and revolutions. The outcome is the same: trampling upon the sovereignty of states, gobbling up countries and subjugating them into their sphere of influence.

Although the nationalist crest was soon repainted, it is still a question whether the seemingly liberalized West can truly abandon its narrow-minded approach and its delusions of grandeur and perfection. These two questions may be of key importance in the next few years. There are two reasons for that.

One is the intellectual decline mentioned above. Western liberalism has drifted so much apart from its own roots and the reality by now that its anti-traditional and anti-family approach as well as the promotion of deviant behaviours has created societies that are incapable of self-sustenance. Immigration issues and the deterioration of the celebrated multiculturalism into an underlying internal war of civilisations both derive from the fact that Western European and North American societies are unsustainable without immigrants, but the valuelessness of these societies prevent them from being able to integrate foreigners.

The other reason is that the new challengers clearly see the decline of the West and they know that the token of their own rise lies in confronting the Western culture which has staggered to the brink of annihilation by depriving itself from all high values. Russia, China, or even the successful states of the Arab world are quite aware that a solid future can only be built upon the foundations of their own national cultures. More and more non-Western countries and societies have woken up and begun to question the world order brought about by the end of the cold war. In the meantime, their economic, political, social and military achievements justify their scepticism about Euro-Atlantism.

So the transition is knocking at our doors. Emerging non-liberal powers have already appeared in the scene and have been strikingly successful. The ever-shrinking US-centred block is constantly losing key positions. The question is whether they realize that they have lost their privileged, monopolistic status and that they would have to withdraw behind a sustainable border. If they do, will they accept a new status quo or continue to defend their declining empire "to the last bullet"? Their attitude will define whether the transition can be peaceful or not.

Jobbik's evaluation of a changing world

In spite of being European, Hungary is one of the countries that have suffered the most from the arrogance of great Western powers. Today's Hungary and Central Europe still bear the consequences of the narrow-minded Western approach up to this day. The Trianon Pact, which concluded World War I, was devised by the same powers that are the spearheads of liberal democracy today. These powers crushed an organic structure based on the traditions of a millennium. The territory of Hungary, which had been the key to regional stability until the early 20th century, was split up in order to create artificial state formations. It is not hard to realize that Central Europe's internal conflicts are mostly rooted in this act: conflict-ridden makeshift country formations were in fierce rivalry with each other, exposed to the mercy of the great powers. Eventually, when they could not be held together any longer, they disintegrated.

In spite of the above, Hungary has canonized the subservient support of Western and Euro-Atlantic interests. Although Hungary's national wealth was stolen under the aegis of privatization, which is considered as the cornerstone of neoliberal economic policy, and then the remaining industry was destroyed by forcing us to turn our backs on the post-Soviet region, and then we were required to abandon the Hungarian communities living outside our borders, yet the Hungarian governments, regardless of their ideological stance or the parties forming them, remained dedicated followers of Euro-Atlantism.

Established in 2003, Jobbik Movement for a Better Hungary was the only political force to confront this idea. Jobbik announced a completely new political agenda and emphasized the importance of Eastern opening, opposing the value-deprived West. Jobbik was the only party to realize and state that Western liberalism would complete the nation's economic destruction, which would then be followed by cultural, demographic and linguistic annihilation unless we change the direction of our foreign policy.

Undoubtedly, Jobbik was the party to include the criticism of the Euro-Atlantic power axis in the public discourse as well as to represent a new aspect which centred around the protection of Hungarian sovereignty and the open representation of our national interests. Due to the reasons detailed above, this policy can only be implemented if it is coupled with a foreign policy of Eastern opening.

We have been representing these values in the Hungarian Parliament since 2010, and our efforts were not in vain. Although Jobbik has been working as an opposition party so far, we have grown into the second largest political force and were able to exercise sufficient pressure on Fidesz-led governments to consider, albeit half-heartedly, the ideology represented by Eastern emerging countries.

Fighting against the propaganda machine

Of course, it has never been easy to accomplish the mission undertaken by Jobbik. Backed by seemingly unlimited funds, the Western propaganda machine has spared no effort to contain us. The reason behind our stigmatization has been obvious: while we were accused of racism, nearly all Western countries have experienced the rise and popularity of truly xenophobic forces. However, their Euro-Atlantic commitment has always protected them from the revenge of liberal propaganda. Meanwhile, Jobbik was constantly under attack, not for its alleged extremism but for its criticism of the West.

The greatest challenge for us currently is to get rid of manipulation and misinformation as well as to plant a new voice in the public discourse against the monopolistic views of Euro-Atlantism. The ongoing Ukrainian conflict was the grounds for us to do so. Jobbik was the only Hungarian political force to speak out for the rights of ethnic minorities living in Ukraine and to condemn the genocidal leadership of Kiev. While the other parties either remained silent or, betraying the ethnic Hungarian community of the Lower Carpathians, kept repeating pro-Kiev Western slogans, Jobbik called public attention to what was really at stake in Ukraine. The stakes are high: to extend Western hegemony over the territory of Ukraine and to provoke the emerging Russia and force the country into an open conflict. We felt it was our duty to voice our clear opinion about this issue. It was not only the concern for the Hungarians of the Lower Carpathians that prompted us to do so. It was obvious for us that there is more at stake for us than the future of great powers: our region, Central Europe and even the entire continent may suffer great losses if the United States manages to destroy our relationship with Russia.

Europe and Russia belong next to each other

Contrary to the statements of US-controlled propaganda, Europe and Russia belong next to each other. Europe is not complete without Russia while Russia as a European power cannot turn away from Europe. Especially because Europe is in trouble.

The Western part of the European continent is controlled by the European Union, a conglomerate serving Washington's interests. This organization is working relentlessly on depriving our continent from all the values that shaped it into what it is now. Europe is Americanized at an astounding pace: it is losing its roots and it is deteriorating from a community of national states into a pastless and futureless community of rootless consumers disowning their own nations. Albeit unconsciously, Central Europe still stands in defiance of this trend, but the region has no more powers left to openly confront liberal destruction. Of all European countries, Russia is the only one that has the necessary economic, military and political authority. Therefore it is Russia's historical duty to set Europe back on the track of traditions.

Of course, it is not only an intellectual interdependence. Europe relies on Russia in strategic and energy related issues as well. While the idea of Europe without the United States is conceivable, Russia is indispensable for our continent. After the unnatural dividedness of the cold war, the United States now intends to create a new dividedness in order to isolate Russia from its natural environment, while also keeping Europe in a state of unilateral dependency.

The political agenda currently followed by most European countries is absurd, since the anti-Russia sanctions are contrary to their own interests. They cause enormous damage to their own economies, rendering themselves even more vulnerable to the United States. If the countries of the European Union do not intend to perish as American puppets, they must realize that the division of our continent is unnatural and is caused by the machinations of an external force.

Jobbik is taking on the mission to influence the current government of Hungary in such a way that enables our country to meet what is perhaps the greatest European challenge of the 2010s. That is to shake up the continent and make Europe realize: It is not going to work without Russia.

What Hungary needs is neutrality instead of American tanks

Based on information from its own sources, the Wednesday issue of Hungarian daily Magyar Nemzet reported that the United States was planning to station fifty military fighting vehicles on a permanent basis in Hungary in the near future. As reported by another Hungarian daily Napi Gazdaság earlier, NATO intended to respond to the Ukraine-Russia conflict and prepare for future challenges by deploying US fighting vehicles and tanks to Hungary.

In reaction to the news, Jobbik categorically condemns the government's "irresponsible policy which exposes Hungary as a potential theatre for the military conflicts of great powers."

In his press conference in Budapest, Jobbik's vice president János Volner emphasized: while Hungary spent four decades in the shadow of Soviet army weapons during the Communist rule, the Fidesz government is now getting ready to have US weapons deployed in Hungary as part of an anti-Russia military strategy and thus serve the interests of another great foreign power.

"Hungary needs a wiser and more circumspect government which would declare the country's neutrality in military conflicts like this" stated János Volner. He added that while Orbán's government failed to defend Hungary's borders from the hundred thousands of illegal immigrants, it sent Hungarian troops abroad to fight for US interests.

“This is how Hungarian soldiers ended up in Afghanistan, and this is how we came into confrontation with the Islamic State that commits massive terrorist acts, which led into Hungary becoming a potential target for ISIS.” reminded the MP.

Jobbik opposes and rejects the idea of the US deploying weapons in Hungary. The party says that our country needs neutrality, we must stay out of a potential US-Russia military conflict because that is the real interest of the Hungarian people.

Jobbik condemns Hungary's contribution to the US' show of force

Jobbik Movement for a Better Hungary expresses its concerns about the participation of the Hungarian Defence Forces in the protection of the Baltic states' airspace and considers the act extremely harmful for the Hungarian nation.

Jobbik has pointed out several times that it was definitely harmful for Hungary's security in this tense situation if we comply with the requests of NATO, an organization that poses a constant threat to European peace, and undertake the protection of the airspace of Baltic States that border on Russia. We consider Minister of Defence Csaba Hende's behaviour as cynical and dilettante. Accompanied by the Ambassador of the United States, a country that keeps risking European peace, he admitted that the Baltic airspace has become one of the most complex areas within NATO, yet he sends the entire Hungarian air force there in such a critical situation.

Let us note that the United States has just deployed F-22 fighters of cutting-edge technology in Poland, and we know that some US Stryker combat vehicles are to be deployed in Hungary in the near future. We are convinced that these steps will clearly increase tensions in Ukraine, drifting Central Europe, including Hungary into an unnecessarily dangerous situation, and will leave no doubt as to what kind of role NATO is planning to assign to the Hungarian mission sent to the Baltic States.

Jobbik continues to advocate peace so we call upon the Hungarian government to allocate the forces of the HDF to protect Hungary's real interests, i.e. the integrity of our homeland, instead of subserviently obeying Washington's orders, as well as to stop supporting the aggressive and provocative policy that triggers unforeseeable consequences and serves nothing but US geopolitical interests.

JOBBIK JOINS FIDESZ IN PETITION INITIATIVE BUT THERE'S SOMETHING ELSE HERE...

"The strongest opposition party joins Fidesz's campaign to collect signatures for a petition against the mandatory quota system designed to reallocate illegal immigrants," Jobbik's president announced.

In his press conference on Thursday, Gábor Vona stated that Jobbik was the first to reject any kind of quota system from the beginning, so they will join the campaign to collect signatures for the petition announced by Lajos Kósa, the government party's parliamentary faction leader.

The president called the quota system harmful, unsustainable and unjust, and he assured the government of his party's support if it turns to the European Court of Justice with the matter.

In Vona's view, the system is harmful because it functions as an invitation letter for 10-20 million people who have not yet decided to set out on the road to Europe but are already considering it;
is unsustainable because illegal immigrants typically target a few countries (e.g. Germany, Sweden) so there's no point reallocating them anywhere else: they would either leave again or would have to be detained, which is contrary to a fundamental principle of the EU, the free movement of persons. He noted that a growing migration wave might eventually consider Hungary a target country as "it's in the EU after all"; is unjust because it would impose hundreds of thousands of migrants on such countries that have constantly been objecting to putting so much pressure on their society.

Gábor Vona said that Fidesz's signature collection campaign is a weaker means that a Hungarian referendum, a European Citizens' Initiative, or a genuine (non-existent, by the way) EU referendum, but his party will still support it because: "This is an emergency, we must use whatever means we have", so his party feels obliged to support the initiative. "If there is a disaster situation, you must rise above partisanship and everybody must rally for the national cause," he added.

But!

In addition to the migration crisis, the president of the patriotic party named corruption as another major problem, so Jobbik decided to attach certain anti-corruption questions to the signature sheets.

He said his party asked all Hungarian citizens to support each and every point of the questionnaire, and expects Prime Minister Viktor Orbán as well as Fidesz' Parliamentary faction leader Lajos Kósa to join Jobbik in leaving partisanship behind and accept the patriotic party's proposed anti-corruption amendments to the questionnaire.

The quota system, as promoted by the Western EU member states, would mean that illegal immigrants arriving in EU territory would be reallocated across the continent to various countries on a mandatory basis. According to certain estimates this would entail the allocation of roughly 160 thousand people to Hungary, equivalent to the population of a major city like Szeged, for example.

Ózd, Hungary: How all Towns Should Be
The New Observer
November 11, 2015

The Hungarian town of Ózd has just completed its first year under Jobbik party leadership—and has turned out to be a shining example of what European society should look like, with extensive development programs, reduced crime, orderly honest government, and a population united by their love for their race and nation.

Ózd, located in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Northern Hungary, is the second largest city in the region. The town caused controlled media panic one year ago when the Movement for a Better Hungary (in Hungarian, Jobbik Magyarországért Mozgalom, commonly known as Jobbik) stormed the elections in that city, winning two thirds of the vote.

The winning Jobbik candidate, 27 year old Dávid Janiczak, crushed the Fidesz party candidate (and sitting mayor) by wining 64.4 percent of the vote. Fidesz polled 31 percent of the vote, despite its candidate being officially backed by that party’s leader and current Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán.

The Hungarian Communist Party, which, after the fall of the Iron Curtain, renamed itself into the “Hungarian Socialist Party” (Magyar Szocialista Párt, or MSZP), which was hoping for a good turnout in the very working class town, was thoroughly crushed, polling just 3.2 percent.

On November 6, 2015, in front of a packed to capacity town hall, Mayor Janiczek gave his one year city administration report to a tumultuous reception from his townsfolk.

It took more than two hours to list all of the achievements of the town council, which included programs to boost the local economy, tourism, agriculture, and the cutting of crime.

It was in the social sphere that the most telling reforms were elucidated: the mayor announced that social housing was only available to those who were of good character—using a slogan of “no criminal records, no criminal life” as a mantra and guideline for the allocation of publicly financed houses.

This rule excluded European riff-raff, but almost the entire local Gypsy population, who appear to have moved off to other cities where there are more fruitful pickings to be had. As a result, the mayor told the appreciative crowd, crime had dropped in the city by nearly 20 percent over the previous year.

The “Legal Defence Bureau for National and Ethnic Minorities” has taken this case on review with the aim of forcing the Ózd mayor to rescind it, a move which he is contesting.

The local police services were overhauled and an equestrian unit was introduced to help patrol some of the more rural and agricultural terrain on the outskirts of the city. As a result, stock theft had declined by 35 percent over the first year.

Regular police patrols had been started in all areas, and to this end, a number of quad bikes had been purchased to increase police mobility.

Another achievement of the Jobbik mayor has been the creation of a local Business Support Office, which encourages local people to start their own businesses by providing free professional guidance on business setup, loan applications, accounting services, legal advice, and up-to-date market information.

In the less than one year of its operation, the Business Support Office had helped launch 43 new businesses, and a further 16 entrepreneurs were helped to kick-start their own business consultancies, Mayor Janiczak said.
